Young Bunch

Jenny and Mark Sebree This mainstream club dances the 2nd Friday of the month at Collins Grange, 3404 120th St E, Tacoma, WA (click here for a map). Caller is Mark Sebree; cuer is Pat Wiggins. Pre-rounds begin at 7:30 pm; squares at 8:00 pm.

This is truly a family club, with kids and parents square dancing together. Adults are always welcome to come on out and dance with the Young Bunch.

State Federation's Scholarships

The Square and Folk Dance Federation of Washington State provides one or two scholarships each year. In reply to an inquiry, the state Youth Coordinator, Erin Sheldon ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ), posted the following message on the Rainier Council's facebook page on Nov. 4, 2011: "Hi everyone! I have seen and heard some questions about the square dancing scholarship! I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a scholarship (or 2) of $500 for dancers ages 17-22! Keep this in mind and spread the word, I will be sure to post again in January when the form for 2012 is available. Feel free to ask me questions!
